Holy Thursday
Open: The Head that Once Was Crowned with Thorns (is crowned with glory now) to the tune Morning Song. It's actually listed in the book under Easter, but it talks enough about the "crowned with thorns part," I almost wouldn't want to use it during Easter and thought it was pretty appropriate for Holy Thursday, but I'd be interested to hear other feedback from those who were there or know the text.

I wouldn't use "The Head that Once Was Crowned" on Holy Thursday. I'll take another look at the text, but usually it's in protestant hymnals as an Ascension text. And it's usually sung to St. Magnus, which is an awesome tune but has one of those devilish octave jumps that we abhor in hymns we don't like but ignore in hymns we do like :P
I find "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" excellent for a HT Entrance. The Introit is something like "Let us ever glory in the cross", so it seems rather appropriate. As I've often said, I like to try to match a hymn to the proper antiphon.
oh, excellent idea of "when I survey!" The congregation didn't know it this year, and I was busy teaching them other new great hymns, so maybe next year.
